Today I threw out: a butter stick wrapper.

Could this trash have been avoided? Assuming one uses butter, which most people do, I really can't think of a way around its packaging. Maybe if you live near a dairy, they will sell you butter in a jar that you bring in for the purpose.

I also threw out: this ice cream lid.

Could this trash have been avoided? I'm more of a Ben & Jerry's fan, myself, but I intercepted my old man's ice cream container and told him it was recyclable. Then I realized that was probably only true for the bottom.

I also threw out: part of a cheese wrapper.



Clearly, we love our dairy products in this house.
